The Redeemed Christian music group started by Tim Patrick. Tim started composing his own songs in 2000. It was in December 2001 when he started making a Christmas music CD for his family and relatives as a Christmas gift, that he had a good singing voice.
On the 25th of December 2001 at 8:30 on Christmas morning, Tim Patrick's song that he sung "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, was played on Radio Wanaka.
Tim found out from his friends, family and relatives that his singing was really good and that he could start selling his own music CDs around his home town in Dunedin, New Zealand and then maybe around the rest of New Zealand.
Tim got heaps of great feed back that he started composing songs for his single. Those two songs that were recorded for his single was "1,2,3,4,5" and "The Only Thing I Do" that were originally written by Tim Patrick.
The CD Single was originally "The Only Thing I Do" by Tim Patrick but then he started looking in the dictionary for a name that he could call his group. That was when he stumbled upon "Redeemed" which means "[adj] (Christianity) saved from the bondage of sin
And how we know the music group called "The Redeemed" today.
